“Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” ~ 1 Corinthians 2:12

This site aims to speak only the truth, only in love.
Wouldn't you agree? That if I am genuinely sharing truthful content, then I am showing you, my reader, sincere love because there's love IN the truth - how do we know?
JESUS is the Truth (He says so).
And hopefully, you understand that Jesus is THAT only begotten son of God, who was given by the Father out of His great love for humanity... to offer us eternal life.
When I share Jesus, I speak truth. When I share other news, please know I will always have researched it first and am believing it to be true! :)
Have you ever tried "religion" and concluded that it just doesn't work for you? I did!
I understood that God wasn't pleased with me, and at times, I would do my best to count up all my wrong ways and attempt to turn over a new leaf. The problem is that I always failed. Being religious was just too much of a burden.
Even when I tried my hardest, it just wasn't good enough. I figured there was just too much sin in an average person's life to have to quit doing it all at once. I felt sad and hopeless and didn't see any point in going to church.
But I have since learned that becoming a Christian isn't some magical thing that happens TO us. That's what I expected! I thought since IT never happened to me then God wasn't interested in me.
Then I discovered that IT is about what has already been done FOR me by Jesus! We don't have to be perfect to please God, or for Him to love us and help us. Without the surrender of salvation, all my efforts to turn over a new leaf by my own will power was just like pushing my dirt around without ever getting it cleaned up!
I still had an emptiness in my spirit that I couldn't seem to fill, and I still had hurts and regrets that kept me chained to my past. When I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins, He did and then IT happened to me! I was truly set free of my guilt and shame! I didn't have to rehearse my failures because Jesus forgave me and I knew it! I got baptized and accepted my new standard of living, caring what God thinks about my choices in life. I discovered that a relationship with the living God wasn't the same thing as religion or just being spiritual, it is an interactive relationship to help me at any time, every single day!
Okay, here comes the scripture from the Bible! I don't expect you to believe any of this because I said so. These words are from God's Holy Bible, and they are for you, as well as me.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this
is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no
one may boast.
Ephesians 2: 8-9

I love You, Lord For Your mercy never fails me All my days, I've been held in Your hands From the moment that I wake up Until I lay my head Oh, I will
What causes drug addiction? Is it genetic? Social? Does it stem from our environment? Maybe a person's personality plays into it; or, is addiction a disease??
Accountability. The whole world wants justice. Our Creator wants us to mix in mercy. Justice and mercy can only be possible when wrongdoers are held accountable.
Getting over anxiety takes some work, I'll be honest with you. It requires having the feeling of empowerment that comes with knowledge...with true information.
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, a wonderful Savior to me. He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, where rivers of pleasure I see. Refrain: He
The fear of dying is natural, reasonable, and common. Who fears death? Maybe there's a tinge of fear about dying in all of us. But did you know it is possible to overcome our fear of death!
So how does God feel when a suffering person asks "Why"?
Why me, Lord? Why did this happen? Why am I suffering like this? What did I do to deserve it?
It's not fair! Why should anyone have to go on like this? It'd be better to be dead than have to go through this pain!
I can understand how people (and there are a lot of them) who have lost hope would crave death over excruciating heartache, severe injustice, overwhelming defeat, deep humiliation... would want to stop their misery in the only way they see available....
The historical patriarch Job certainly understood. Listen to his rant:
(from Job 3:20-26)
“Oh, why give light to those in misery, and life to those who are bitter?
They long for death, and it won’t come. They search for death more eagerly than for hidden treasure.
They’re filled with joy when they finally die, and rejoice when they find the grave.
Why is life given to those with no future, those God has surrounded with difficulties?
I cannot eat for sighing; my groans pour out like water.
What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true.
I have no peace, no quietness. I have no rest; only trouble comes.”
Many of us know what he was suffering - that information is given to us in the first two chapters of the book bearing his name. But it doesn't really matter, right?
I mean, when you're miserable, your discomfort is extreme.
If you feel hopeless in your circumstances, it doesn't seem to make a difference whether you have five kinds of stage-4 cancer or you've lost someone you love deeply.
The emotional results can be the same.
Your hurt is so devastating and deep, you might feel you can't go on, right?
You might desperately throw allll your blessings to the wayside, like they didn't exist... all the good times you've experienced, disregard your best memories… and wish you'd never been born.
Job did.
He cursed his life!
(Job 3:3)
“Let the day of my birth be erased, and the night I was conceived."
...He felt his birthday shouldn’t be part of any calendar...
Hopelessness. Why didn’t he just die upon leaving his mother's womb??
Why was he ever allowed to survive birth - why was he given nourishment?
If God had just let him die then, he'd be at rest. Where he imagined great kings who had died after opulent reigns were now at peace.
Or worse yet, he reasoned, why was he even born at all? Why did God allow him to see the light of day outside of his mother's womb?
If he had been stillborn, Job never would have had the first worry or trouble!
Oh, we don't have to wonder even for a second whether Job could relate to suffering, do we!
Can you identify? Even if you can’t, let's continue next blog! (Technology has word count rules....)
See you in a few?
