“Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God.” ~ 1 Corinthians 2:12
I do not share your personal data with others. (I figure that is your decision to make. And besides, what kind of a privacy policy would I be running around here without protecting your privacy?)
I never knowingly contact or collect personal information from children younger than 13 years.
Some of the technologies used to operate this site include small files called "cookies" to help out with things like remembering items in your shopping cart (which for now is still in the dream stage, as my book is yet unpublished), detecting which pages of the site you visit, or remembering information you enter into form fields (these are stored on your computer browser, and you can remove them from your browser when you leave our site if you want).
This type of data collection may involve cookies (small files stored on your browser), web beacons, or unique device identifiers to identify your computer or device. "My" systems also log information like your browser, operating system and IP address. The information acquired gives general things like what countries or demographics are visiting this site, and whether my visitors tend to use desktop PCs, or mobile devices, etc. Then the geeks know, for example, how to make my website compatible with my guests' computers, so the interface will be as user-friendly as possible.
Personally identifiable information that you provide may be collected, such as your name, address, phone number, or email address. I will use it only for the purpose(s) you intended it to be used for when you provided it, unless some other reason has been specified in this Privacy Policy, in which case, you will have already agreed to that usage.
You can request to see or delete your personal data. You can see or delete any personally identifiable information that has been stored, such as your name, address, email or phone number. You can contact me by email to make that request.
I may keep personal data, but only until you delete it. I remove personally identifiable information (such as your name, address, email or phone number) and other preferences associated with your account promptly after you delete your account. Other (non personal) data might be retained indefinitely.
No ad companies collect data through our service. I do not allow advertising companies to collect data through my service for ad targeting. I want you to understand, though, that any company whose website you visit has its own policies and data collection procedures, so I simply can't speak to any third party's practices. Of course, I highly recommend you read their privacy statements before offering your data.
You can ask privacy questions. If you have any questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please contact me: me@dwlamoureux.com.
Analytics providers access data on our behalf. Analytics companies may access anonymous data (such as your IP address or device ID) to understand how my services are used. They use this data solely on our behalf. They do not share it except in aggregate form; no data is shared as to any individual user. Click to see company privacy policies that govern their use of data.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how visitors engage with their website. Google Analytics customers can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so they can improve it. Google Analytics collects information anonymously. It reports website trends without identifying individual visitors.
Privacy Policy and Choices. I take reasonable steps to secure your personally identifiable information against unauthorized access or disclosure. The web service I use encrypts transmission of data on pages where you provide payment information. It's a fact, though, no security or encryption method can be guaranteed to protect information from hackers or human error. Not trying to scare you, but this is true of any and all online retailers' security measures. Just want you to be aware.... It's a big world out there.
Special situations may require disclosure of your data. There are a few circumstances in which your consent would not be required for identifiable and anonymous information to be made available to third parties: (1) with your express consent, (2) when there is a good faith belief it is required by law, or (3) when I believe in good faith belief that it's necessary to protect my rights or property.
You can review more privacy-related information. This privacy policy was posted on 12/01/2021, and it may change from time to time, since that's the nature of the animal. I will place a prominent notice on the website if I make any material changes to these policies, fair?
